DIY PROJECT | 4 Easy DIY tutorials to Makeover your Old Clothes
So let's get to the point...
For this post, I will be showing you how to give a simple and easy makeover to your clothes, making them look new and stylish!
FOLD UP JEANS
To add style to your dull jeans is very easy.
Measure the pants cuffs. Get another cloth and cut the fabric which will serves as your pants' fold up then sew the fabric underneath the edges of the cuffs.
CRISS-CROSS MUSCLE TEE
An oversized plain gray top which I turned into a muscle tee with a crisscross accent on each sides.
For this top, I cut the sleeves part, trim the neckline, and cut the front lower part to make it long back. Punch a hole into each sides of the tee and insert the leather cord (you can also use a ribbon) just like how you lace your high cut sneakers.
Wearing this is very comfy!
CUSTOMIZED CROP TOP
Customizing T-shirt design would never be tough with the help of transfer paper. To turn this into crop top simply cut the half of the shirt's body into semi circle.
If you wonder why I chose this design, well... I love Barbie and I had a hard time looking for this shirt in the mall with this kind of vibes so I just decided to make one. (This item is for personal use only, printing of images/design/logo of others' work are prohibited w/o consent)
Print your chosen design in reverse (mirror-image). Trim the white edges of the image. Then transfer it with the image facing down onto the fabric using heat press or your clothing flat iron. Make sure to press it tightly to ensure that the image has been transferred properly.
For the black heart, what I did was to cut a heart shaped from another cloth and sew it onto the shirt.
It's easy as that, you can now admire and wear your creation!
PATCHED DENIM JACKET
Denims always stay in fashion. Patched denim jacket is still trendy, it completes any #OOTD.
Do you have one, but its too plain and boring?
I collected lots of patches just in case I want to beautify some of my clothes easily. Yes, you read it right! It's very easy as 123! A simple yet creative idea to update your denim.
Choose a set of patches you want to put into your jacket and press tightly using iron for a few minutes until the patches are attached. If you have no iron, no problem, you can sew them onto the jacket.
No need to spend more money to update your outfit, you just need to be a little creative.
